JUNIOR SAFETY ENGINEER

Overview

We are seeking a hands‑on practical and field‑oriented Safety Officer to support health and safety management activities at a wastewater treatment plant. The role requires strong on‑site presence, proactive hazard identification and direct engagement with site teams. Desktop‑only profiles will not be considered. Female candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor and enforce HSE compliance on site with a strong focus on field inspections and workforce engagement.
• Identify, assess and control hazards specific to wastewater treatment facilities including confined spaces, biological hazards, chemicals, sludge handling gases (e.g. HS) and mechanical equipment.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Support the implementation of risk assessments, method statements (RAMS) and permit‑to‑work systems.
