Junior Mechanical Engineer (SY-ABT-MDD-2026-188-GRAE)

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will join the Mechanics, Development and Design (MDD) section, where you will contribute to the design and development of advanced electromechanical systems for accelerator beam transfer across the entire CERN accelerator complex. Working alongside experienced engineers, physicists and technicians, you will help develop innovative equipment used in a world‑leading scientific research environment.

Your responsibilities:

• Contribute to the conceptual design and development of mechanical and electromechanical systems.
• Produce engineering documentation, including 3D models, manufacturing drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Support the manufacturing, assembly, testing and installation of equipment.
• Collaborate with physicists, engineers and technicians to translate conceptual requirements into practical engineering solutions.
