Job Requirements
Honours Degree in Nursing. Advanced Midwifery qualification. Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nurse Educator (compulsory). Registration with SANC as an Advanced Midwife or Accoucheur. Experience in clinical teaching will serve as an advantage.Duties: Teaching Midwifery Nursing theory and clinical practice to undergraduate students. Accompanying and supervising students during their midwifery clinical practice placements. Setting and coordinating practical examinations for Midwifery students. Conducting formative and summative assessments for students in Midwifery training. Assessing, monitoring, and controlling students’ Midwifery Register Books.
