Junior Fabricator / Installer

G&L Ironworks is seeking a Junior Fabricator / Installer to join our growing team.

We are looking for someone with at least 1 year of welding or metal fabrication experience who is eager to continue developing their skills under the guidance of experienced industry professionals.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of structural steel, railings, egress systems, and miscellaneous metals projects throughout Long Island and New York City.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the fabrication of railings, miscellaneous metals, and structural steel

• MIG weld steel components

• Cut, grind, fit, and prepare materials for fabrication

• Read and interpret basic shop drawings

• Assist installation crews in the field

• Load and unload materials and deliveries

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
