What you’ll be doing

• Prepare lab batches accurately from formulations issued by the Senior Development Chemist, including correct weighing, dispersion, milling and let-down technique.
• Run assigned trials and variant comparisons exactly to instruction; flag deviations immediately rather than improvising
• Prepare drawdowns, spray-outs and test panels to standard.
• Perform standard tests as directed: viscosity, specific gravity (SG), non-volatile content (NVC), fineness of grind, colour, gloss, opacity, drying times, adhesion and stability checks.
• Record every result at the time of measurement – no retrospective capture – in the Company’s standard lab workbooks and Excel templates.
• Compile results into the Company’s standard trial report format: objective, method, results, observations and recommendation, submitted to the Senior Development Chemist within agreed timelines.
