Summary IT Specialist positions located in the Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), Office of Technology and Survey Processing (OTSP) provide IT support to all aspects of BLS data development initiatives. BLS measures labor market activity, working conditions, price changes, and productivity in the U.S. economy to support public and private decision making. Responsibilities IT Project Managers in OTSP, Project Management Office are responsible for the following: Preparing project plans for IT projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing. Coordinating project needs to meet project objectives and schedules. Maintaining project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. Monitoring project milestones and deliverables.
