The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a command headquarters-level senior IT project manager, applying requisite knowledge, training, and experience to plan, organize, and determine necessary policies and procedures for the successful management of assigned major command projects(s). Responsibilities Develops detailed plans, goals, and objectives for implementation of assigned AF-level and major command-level Information Technology (IT) project(s). Gathers and analyzes customers' functional requirements, and translates these requirements into technical solutions and costings. Acquires/procures IT hardware, software and/or capabilities required for assigned projects. Develops IT policy and guidelines.
