IT Network Engineer (Nagios NMS Specialist)

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on IT Network Engineer with deep Nagios experience to design, deploy, maintain, and optimize our Network Management System (NMS) and related monitoring infrastructure. You will ensure high availability, timely alerting, and actionable observability across network, server, and service layers to support 24x7 operations and fast incident response.



Key Responsibilities



-Design, implement, and maintain Nagios Core/Nagios XI (or equivalent) monitoring architecture, including distributed polling, redundancy, and failover.

-Develop and maintain monitoring checks, plugins, templates, and service definitions for network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), servers, virtual environments, and critical applications.

-Integrate Nagios with ticketing (ServiceNow/Jira), configuration management, alerting channels (SMS, email, --Slack/MS Teams), and CMDB.
