Interventional Radiologist

Procedures and Responsibilities

• Angioplasty and stenting
• Embolization (e.g., for bleeding or tumors)
• Biopsies
• Drain placements
• Thrombolysis
• Central line placements
• Tumor ablation
• Interpret diagnostic imaging (CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy)
• Evaluate patients pre- and post-procedure
• Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, cardiologists, and other specialists
• Manage complications and ensure patient safety
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Participate in on-call rotations
