Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will provide instrumentation engineering support to NASA’s Glenn Research Center (GRC) for hydrogen / oxygen regenerative fuel cells in lunar applications. This includes basic analytical work, experimental design, test stand build-up, and testing for electrochemical, electrical, fluidic, and thermal (including cryogenic) components and sub-systems. 

Required Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience designing, assembling, and operating test benches and/or calibration stands for specialized instruments. 
  • Experience with the following:Developing and executing calibration protocols to ensure measurement accuracy and precision. Interfacing sensors with data acquisition systems.Specifying and installing the following sensor types: temperature, pressure, voltage, current, mass flow meters/controllers, humidistat, dew point, and Spectrometers. Selecting and operating components in hazardous environments as de...
