Instrument & Electrical Technician I, II

Job Summary:
The Instrumentation & Controls Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating electrical, instrumentation, control, and monitoring systems that support natural gas underground storage, pipeline, compressor, processing operations, and transmission regulating station assets associated with Nicor Gas’s Western Region Operations. Primary assignment will be out of the Troy Grove facility near Mendota, IL and will support additional facilities in the Rockford, Galena, Dixon and Geneseo areas.
This position maintains PLC, SCADA, power distribution, gas measurement, and process control systems; performs preventive and corrective maintenance; and supports regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and emergency response activities.
