Engineer and develop tools for cold and hot formed products for our production lines.
Lead the procurement of forming tools from concept development to full prototype production and series production for the production of wheel suspension products in Automotive. Design of changes / further development of tools of existing tools is also part of the work. You participate in the entire project phase.
- Responsible for the tool project - Design and prepare tool documentation in collaboration with product and process developers.
- Follow up the entire process with requests and follow up with subcontractors until tools are ready.
- Lead the work so that tools provide the right product, through tool trimming and commissioning in our factories in Norway, Canada, China and Mexico.
- Collaborate and follow up with product/process development, purchasing, logistics, prototype and industrialization to achieve the right tool acc to budgets and milestones.
