Infection Preventionist - MHS

Job Summary:

Assists to develop and maintain a safe, high quality care environment by leading infection prevention and control activities across the hospital and associated ambulatory spaces. Conducts epidemiological surveillance, monitors infection trends, participates in investigations, and prepares accurate reports aligned with regulatory standards. Educates staff and patients, responds to infection related inquiries, and assists in developing and implementing policies, protocols, and annual program plans. Makes recommendations regarding construction, renovation, environmental rounds, and assures compliance with national and/or professional standards. Works collaboratively with clinical teams and operational partners to contribute to performance improvement initiatives, identifies opportunities to strengthen infection prevention practices, and supports organizational readiness for emerging infectious threats.
