Industrial Engineering - Trainee

Job Description

This position manages manufacturing resources applied to objectives of one or more manufacturing sections or shift(s). Expectations are that this position will assist the Manufacturing Engineer or Engineering Manager to perform activities related to continuous improvement projects.

• Develop strategies to improve manufacturing and reduce waste, as well as perform line balancing.
• Monitor Manufacturing Procedures and make changes as required.
• Install new equipment or technology to improve efficiency.
• Participate in continuous improvement and 5'S of the area.
• Carry out the design, purchase and installation of equipment that helps improve efficiency or the product.
• Develop concepts and designs to bring innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Work with External Engineering Companies preparing the specifications of the machinery for the purchase of the equipment.
