Embrace an academic opportunity at UPEI as a Sessional Instructor for Indigenous Knowledge. Teach The Mi’Kmaq of Eastern Canada in person during Fall 2026 and engage with students' intellectual growth.
The Faculty of Indigenous Knowledge, Education, Research and Applied Studies seeks qualified candidates for fall courses starting September 8, 2026. You will be responsible for teaching IKE-2230, with classes scheduled throughout the week. A strong commitment to supporting Indigenous student experiences and effective pedagogies is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach IKE-2230 The Mi’Kmaq of Eastern Canada
• Conduct classes Monday/Wednesday/Friday and Tuesday nights
• Engage students in diverse learning contexts
• Facilitate discussions on Indigenous knowledge and pedagogy
• Capture stories from Elders and Knowledge Keepers
