Import Coordinator - Retail

Job Description

As the Import Coordinator, you will support Laura Canada by acting as a mediator between internal and external contributors to ensure time frames, quality and price are respected for import production. You will follow up on the entire process from product development and price negotiation to delivery, and ensure the product meets all standards.

How will you support the team?

• Work with the Buying Team and Design Team to source new products (trims, fabrics, and styles) to help build the line with consideration of cost and quality.
• Negotiate prices and finalize the buy with the goal of achieving the best margin.
• Follow the production calendar in each step to ensure production meets executable delivery schedules and quality standards.
• Follow up on bulk fabric and trims until approval, ensuring delivery timelines are met and workflow updates are communicated in a timely manner.
