This customer segment spends more than $190 billion dollars annually on prescription drugs, and over $1.7 trillion dollars in total healthcare expenditures. Employers make decisions about the types of services and treatments they will pay for through their benefits offered to their employees and employee dependents. This customer segment is active through Business Coalitions and Health Alliances that play important educational and advocacy roles on topics related to health care policy issues and benefit design and management. our company's ability to collaborate with key stakeholders and decision makers in this segment has foundational impact on supporting broad access for our medicines and vaccines.
