Vacancy Description
The HIM Analyst is tasked with the responsibility of validating, processing and sending copies of medical records for Chilton Medical Center. Is responsible for processing all releases in a timely and efficient manner ensuring accuracy and providing customers with the highest quality product and customer service.
The HIM Analyst must have strong knowledge of release of information guidelines per State and Federal Laws. Upholds Security and Confidentiality guidelines for record access and review. Observe all policies regarding the patient’s Right to Privacy, confidentiality of medical records and the legal interest of the hospital and medical staff.
+ Courteously answers the telephone for both internal and external customers.
+ Retrieves, sorts and stamps all incoming mail in preparation for logging and invoicing. Retrieves faxes and places the faxed documents with the daily mail in chronological order in preparation for processing.
