Responsibilities

This position is responsible for operating various pieces of light and heavy equipment to maintain highways, recreational roads and airstrips to acceptable standards. Duties include assessing work to be performed, terrain, weather conditions and equipment needs; supervising and assigning work to a crew of employees to ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely, efficiently and within budget. This position is also responsible for the George Black Ferry in the summer months.
