**Job Description**

This role operates a wide range of heavy equipment on active construction sites to support earthwork, grading, excavation, and other heavy civil activities. The Heavy Equipment Operator safely and efficiently moves materials, digs trenches and holes, and performs site preparation and civil construction tasks as part of a field-based crew.

**Responsibilities**

+ Operate heavy equipment on construction sites, including backhoes, track hoes, dozers, skid steers, excavators, front end loaders, dump trucks, and artillery trucks.
+ Perform earthwork and dirt work activities such as moving dirt, loading and unloading materials, and shaping terrain according to project specifications.
+ Dig holes, trenches, and excavations for utilities, foundations, and other civil construction needs while maintaining proper depth, slope, and alignment.
