The Heavy Duty Mechanic

Expected to perform preventive maintenance and repairs as required to surface and underground, mobile and stationary equipment and will be required to perform the following tasks:

• Perform daily equipment inspections including greasing and topping up of all lubricants and fluids.
• Perform all required preventive maintenance at the required intervals to the manufacturer's specifications.
• Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
• Familiar with underground mobile equipment braking regulations/testing and proper maintenance of such components.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
