The role of the Healthcare Assistant (HCA) is to support the delivery of patient care under the supervision and direction of qualified nursing personnel. The HCA collaborates with nursing staff and all ward members to create an efficient, safe, and friendly environment for care delivery.
Responsibilities
- Provide a professional and caring service for all patients while in the care of Kanad Hospital.
- Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed according to current policies and procedures.
- Assist the Registered Nurse with the provision of quality nursing service, adopting the philosophy of care within the service area.
- Assist with duties associated with the delivery of care and management of the unit environment, including other support duties as appropriate.
