Health System Specialist -Staff Assistant

Summary This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Mid Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6), at the Salem VA Medical Center (VAMC) and is the Staff Assistant to the Director. The incumbent is responsible for a broad range of activities related to the institutional objectives of quality patient care, education, and research. Responsibilities MAJOR DUTIES Manages all controlled correspondence and inquires/action items assigned to SVACHS ensuring deadlines are met. EA frequently interactions with VISN and VACO staff to assure responses are accurate and appropriate. Prepares documents for VISN and VACO review. Develops processes and recommendations to ensure efficient office operations within the Executive Director's Office.
