Health Insurance Specialist

Summary This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Legislation, Consumer Insurance Analysis and Oversight Group. As a Health Insurance Specialist, GS-0107-13, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating proposed legislation, regulations and other administrative actions for CMS' programs. Responsibilities Conducts legislative, economic, and policy analyses related to issues under private insurance programs. Anticipates and addresses congressional inquiries on complex policies and issues. Provides (or coordinates) technical consultative services to congressional members, their staff on legislation and related CMS activities. Monitors all congressional legislative activity for assigned areas of responsibility.
