Health and Safety Specialist, Emterra Group

Elevate workplace safety with Emterra Group as a Health and Safety Specialist. This key role supports all recycling centers in BC, fostering a proactive safety culture.
As part of the BC team, you will report to the GM and Regional Health & Safety Manager. Your efforts will include managing exposure risk assessments and emergency response plans while collaborating closely with technical teams. Being the primary liaison with customer safety personnel, you’ll influence safe practices and conduct incident investigations to ensure compliance and effective safety training.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct exposure risk assessments and maintain safety documentation
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
• Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to staff
• Support Joint Health and Safety Committees across sites
• Ensure compliance during inspections and audits
Requirements:
• 2–5 years of health & safety experience, preferably in recycling<...
