Head of Service Cardio-Respiratory

We are looking for an experienced Head of Service to lead and develop our Cardio Respiratory service across NHS Fife. This senior role combines strategic leadership with advanced clinical practice, supporting a wide range of diagnostic services including Echocardiography, pacemaker clinics, exercise testing, ambulatory monitoring and respiratory testing.

About The Role

You will:

• Lead day to day service operations across two acute hospital sites.
• Manage and support a multidisciplinary team, including recruitment, training and appraisal.
• Oversee service development, quality assurance, budgets, and procurement of specialist equipment.
• Perform and report advanced cardiac investigations, including complex echocardiography, regional echo services, and pacemaker follow-up.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audits, and policy development.
