Under the direction of the assigned Program Clinical Supervisor or Manager, the Harm Reduction Specialist is responsible for providing harm reduction education and outreach, including naloxone distribution, HIV and Hepatitis C prevention, and safer sex practices, to consumers in the Syringe Exchange Program.
DUTIES:
+ Processes incoming referrals and schedules intake visits.
+ Completes intake assessments for CRSEP program, including basic demographic information.
+ Monitors and orders supplies as needed and disposes of biohazard waste according to established procedures.
+ Coordinates syringe exchanges, including updating drop-box codes as needed.
+ Provides outreach and education regarding naloxone distribution, HIV and Hepatitis C prevention and safer sex practice to consumers.
