The Grow Great Campaign was launched in 2018 in response to South Africa’s persistently high levels of stunting. Our vision is a future where no child is denied the opportunity to reach their full potential as a result of stunting and poor early childhood development in the first 1000 days of life. We focus on the first 1 000 days – from pregnancy to a child’s second birthday – because what happens then shapes everything that follows.We use evidence, real stories, proven interventions and tools to improve nutrition, strengthen services and shift mindsets. Our approach is practical, rooted in community, and built to reach more families across South Africa.
