Grant Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Grant Accountant to support financial oversight for grant-funded programs in Chicago, Illinois. This Long-term Contract position will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing grant-related reporting, and ensuring compliance with funder requirements. The ideal candidate brings strong nonprofit or grant accounting experience, sound judgment, and the ability to manage recurring deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the accuracy of general ledger activity within QuickBooks Enterprise and help keep financial records current and well organized.
• Compile reimbursement requests and assemble the financial support needed for submission to grantors.
• Monitor grant income and program spending by funding source to ensure restricted funds are recorded and used appropriately.
