General Maintenance Handyman

Our client based in Cape Town is seeking a General Maintenance Handyman to join their team. This is a 12-month contract position . The ideal candidate will be responsible for carrying out general maintenance work within the complex, including the upkeep of green spaces, repair of equipment and identification of maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

• Painting and filling minor cracks
• Basic carpentry work (repairs to doors and windows)
• Basic plumbing, electrical and safety work
• Plastering and brick work (minor works)
• Perform repairs on company machinery, equipment or appliances
• Perform garden services, maintain and improve green spaces
• Detect and report the need for minor to major maintenance repairs
• Regularly check communal spaces to identify issues with litter, maintenance or breakdowns
