GENERAL ENGINEER (SPECIAL PROJECTS)

Summary You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER (SPECIAL PROJECTS) in the Engineering Department of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING GROTON. Responsibilities You will lead Integrated Process Teams (IPTs) supporting submarine design, conversion, modernization, and other assigned engineering projects. You will explain team goals and objectives, focusing government and contractor resources to rapidly resolve technical program issues. You will collaborate with team members to prioritize critical customer actions and balance limited resources to meet design and construction schedules. You will identify emergent problems, take immediate action to prevent program delays, and minimize government cost impacts. You will initiate measures to minimize costs and improve efficiency without compromising team effectiveness.
