Physician - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Provide urgent Gastroenterology coverage on an inpatient basis at a Level 1 Trauma facility


• 24-hour call shifts running 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM the following morning


• 5-7 days per month, ongoing


• Required procedures include scoping, ERCP, EUS, endoscopy, GI bleed management, and evaluation of GI problems


• Candidates must be able to perform ERCP and EUS to be considered


• Patient population includes adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients (15 years and older, 50 kilograms minimum for trauma cases)


• GI serves as a consult service only and does not admit patients directly


• Expect 8-10 new patient consults and follow-ups and 5-8 scopes per day


• 24/7 intensivists, hospitalists, and trauma services available on site


• EMR system is EPIC; prior EPIC experience required...
