Join the Municipality of Oakville’s seasonal team to help keep community parks and green spaces looking their best. This is an outdoor, hands-on role involving horticulture and general grounds maintenance.
Location: Oakville, ON
Pay: $18.75/hour + 4% vacation pay (paid weekly, every Friday)
Schedule: Full-time, starting September 2nd and running until mid October
Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Monday-Sunday rotation; 5 shifts/week; if scheduled on a weekend, you’ll receive weekdays off in lieu)
What You’ll Do
– Maintain flower beds, planters, pots, hanging baskets, and fixed beds
– Perform tasks such as mulching, wood chipping, watering, weed pulling, and raking
– Operate Municipality of Oakville vehicles to travel between sites
– Work outdoors in all weather conditions; tasks are labour intensive and involve bending, twisting, digging, and lifting
