Freshwater Ecology Field & Lab Intern (Summer)

Environment Canterbury invites you to join its 2026 Summer Student Programme across Canterbury. This 3–4 month, full-time fixed-term role offers hands-on field and laboratory work in freshwater monitoring for students keen to apply ecology knowledge in real-world settings.

You will collect macroinvertebrate samples, process them in the lab using microscopy, and contribute to a long-term stream health dataset used by staff and stakeholders.
