FIREFIGHTER (PARAMEDIC/HAZARDOUS MATERIALS TECHNICIAN)

Summary You will serve as a FIREFIGHTER (Paramedic/Hazardous Materials Technician) of NAS PENSACOLA. Responsibilities You will perform structural firefighting duties for a variety of facilities that may include research and/or large industrial complexes. You will perform pre-fire planning by physically going through structures to become familiar with the layout, fire hazards, and location of fixed fire protection systems. You will combat fire or rescue personnel on board ships. You will perform crash-rescue and firefighting duties. You will drive and operate firefighting vehicles. You will assist in the development of special protective services for structures imposing extreme hazards. You will direct EMS providers (First Responders, EMTs, and/or Paramedics) in the delivery of medical aid.
