Job Overview

The Firefighter position is located at the NASA/White Sands Test Facility Fire Department in Las Cruces, NM. We offer a competitive wage and excellent benefits. Work schedule is: 48 hours worked and 96 hours off. Hourly rates are based on a 2912 hour yearly schedule.
 Hourly Rate Annual Salary
Firefighter EMT-Basic $ $56,
Firefighter EMT-Intermediate $ $57,
Firefighter EMT-Paramedic $ $59,

Additional Certification Pay per hour:

$ .15 HazMat Technician Certified
$ .15 Technical Rescue Team Technician Certified

Additional overtime may be available as needed.

Must pass Firefighter Selection Process:

1. Written Test - 50 questions derived from IFTSA “Essentials of Firefighting” (4th Edition) book.
2. Physical Ability Test
3. Interview
4. Reference Check(s)
5. Physical/Medical Evaluation
6. Secret Clearance Check
