FIREFIGHTER (BLS/ HAZMAT TECHNICIAN)

Summary You will serve as a FIREFIGHTER (BLS/ HAZMAT TECHNICIAN) of NAS PENSACOLA. Responsibilities You will perform structural firefighting duties for a variety of facilities that may include research and/or large industrial complexes. You will perform standby duty during aircraft refueling and defueling, engine maintenance and testing, welding and burning on fueled and/or armed aircraft, ammunition handling or other special circumstances. You will perform emergency protocols and procedures by providing basic life support (BLS) established by the system medical director. You will provide tactical or strategic level guidance for response personnel at hazardous materials incidents in confinement, control, and containment of various classes of hazardous materials.
