Fire Inspector (Part-Time)

Hiring Rate: $15.00 - $20.00 / hr. (DOQ)

Part‑time; 8 hours will be available weekly for each position in this role. Employees in this class perform inspections ensuring compliance with the North Carolina State Fire Prevention Code; answer and investigate reports of hazardous conditions, order corrections, and prepare reports on assigned inspections. A variety of tasks may be assigned to assist with the day‑to‑day operations of the Fire Department. Work is performed under the supervision of the Assistant Chief/Fire Marshal and is evaluated through observation and written reports concerning the quality and effectiveness of work performed.
