Fire Communications Dispatcher

Performs receipt, processing, and dissemination of emergency and non-emergency information
required to operate the Emergency Communications Center (ECC).

**Responsibilities**

+ Dispatches fire, medical, and protective services, and other emergency response vehicles and personnel as appropriate to aircraft, structural, hazardous materials, medical, security, and other emergencies in accordance with Fire &Emergency Services work instructions.
+ Receives routine phone calls in a professional manner and takes appropriate action.
+ Receives emergency phone calls via the 911 Emergency Reporting System, gathers pertinent information, and gives caller emergency specific directions including Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) information according to established directives.
