Plantation Fire Department Cadet Program

The Plantation Fire Department Cadet program is a career development program, aimed for the Fire Service. Young men and women between the ages of 14 and 18 years old will learn about the Plantation Fire Department and prepare themselves for a career in the Fire Service.

Fire Cadets will complete a training program that will consist of the following:

• First Aid
• CPR
• Firefighter Tactics
• Vehicle Extrication
• Fire Safety
• Train for competitions
• Assist in community events

Applicants must be between the ages of 14 and 18 years of age. Parental approval must be obtained. School transcripts demonstrating a 2.0 grade point average, or better, must be enclosed with the application. Copy of Birth Certificate must be uploaded with online application.
