Financial Controller

Job Mission / Objective:

The Financial Controller is responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the bank’s financial records, statutory reporting, and financial control environment. The role ensures compliance with IFRS, banking legislation, prudential standards, and internal control requirements, while supporting senior management in financial decision making and capital management.

Requirements

• Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
• Preparation of financial statements.
• Preparation of VAT returns and calculation of taxation.
• Liaison between internal and external audit, ensuring Exco and Risk that all necessary controls are in place and that financial statements are fairly stated.
• Coordinate audit processes for the bank.
• Lead changes required in accounting standards, regulatory standards, systems, IT platforms, processes and controls.
