Financial Accountant

What You'll Do
As a Financial Accountant, you will manage and support the delivery of end-to-end financial accounting services, including oversight of financial operations and the annual financial accounts process. This role is responsible for preparing Statutory Accounts and delivering periodic financial reporting to the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, while contributing to internal and external audit processes in collaboration with the Finance Business Partner and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders such as VAGO. You will prepare high-quality papers and reports for the Audit and Risk Committee and Board, develop and maintain financial and accounting policies and internal control frameworks to strengthen governance and compliance, and provide expert financial advice and support across the organisation.
