POSITION SUMMARY: A Field Service Technician (FST) is primarily responsible for the installation, operation, repair, removal, and maintenance of company tools and other oilfield equipment.


  • FST I Trainee New hire -- still considered SSE -- minimal or no field/product line experience (required knowledge testing to promote)
    Complete all required HSE training within first week; complete any required 3rd party certifications as scheduled by HSE.

  • FST I Complete on the job training in the field with documented positive feedback from assigned mentor – could be non-SSE- Has CDL (if required) and considered a “helper only” on location. (required knowledge testing to promote) Land: Complete a minimum of 3 months as helper on location with assigned mentor.
    Offshore: Complete a minimum of 2 jobs offshore with assigned mentor. For external hires: Offshore: complete all requirements within 12 months of hire.
