Field Research Technician — Dotterel Conservation

The New Zealand Government is seeking a hands-on conservation role on Rakiura Stewart Island to research the Critically Endangered Pukunui/Southern New Zealand Dotterel during the upcoming breeding season.

This full-time, short-term position runs from 21 September 2026 to 15 January 2027 and involves field surveys, nest monitoring, data collection, and leading field trips, with emphasis on independent work in remote locations.
