Field Research Assistant Endangered Dotterel

The Department of Conservation (DOC) invites applications for a Research Assistant to join our field team on Rakiura Stewart Island. This role focuses on researching the Critically Endangered Pukunui/Southern New Zealand Dotterel during the upcoming breeding season, with extensive field surveys and nest monitoring.

You will work in remote, exposed backcountry locations, set up nest cameras, manage data, and operate on a 10-days-on/4-days-off roster.
