Fibre Technician

A leading technology solutions company requires an experienced Fibre Technician to support the installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of fibre optic and structured cabling infrastructure across various client sites in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality fibre installations, performing fault diagnosis, fusion splicing, and ensuring all network infrastructure is installed in accordance with industry standards Key Responsibilities: - Install fibre optic infrastructure for FTTH, FTTB, enterprise, and backbone networks. - Perform fibre optic cable installation, routing, termination, and commissioning. - Carry out fusion splicing and fibre jointing to industry standards. - Conduct OTDR, power meter, and continuity testing. - Install and maintain structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fibre). - Install patch panels, cabinets, racks, and network enclosures. - Diagnose and resolve fibre network faults and connectivity i...
