for Female Carer/ Personal Assistant

Responsible to

The mother of the service user is the employer, with the support of her husband (the service user’s step-dad).

Based at

Employer’s own home (currently Great Barr but in the process of purchasing in Tamworth).

Job purpose

To support a young lady with learning disabilities, epilepsy, other health issues and reduced mobility with her day to day care and to access her Day Centre and the wider community. She has a great sense of humour and is verbal, although she needs questions and instructions to be in simple terms. She is very keen on pop music and anything to do with animals. Candidate must be female and own their own vehicle.

Main duties

• Undertake all necessary tasks relating to the care and wellbeing of the person in their care e.g. preparing breakfast & lunch, give prepared medications, encourage brush...
