Farm Staff/Groom/Barn Help

Private farm in Dickerson, Maryland seeks farm/barn help to care for horses and other farm pets.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, feeding, turning in/out, grooming, basic vet care, tack cleaning, stall cleaning, handling animals for vet/blacksmith/osteopath, general farm upkeep, minor property maintenance.

Attention to detail and thorough care of the animals are of the utmost importance. The ideal candidate would be at least 18 years or older, non-smoker, highly organized, self-motivated, able to multitask, able to work independently, have good communication skills, capable of following directions, and have positive attitude.

Previous experience with care of horses and/or livestock, operating farm equipment, driving truck/trailer, minor veterinary needs, and riding skills preferred.

Salary based on experience.
