Opportunity to join us as the Exam Quality Panel Chair

Any exam used in specialty training in the UK must be approved by the GMC. In March this year, the Academy of Royal Medical Colleges published its guidance on . We fully supported the recommendations in this publication, having previously raised concerns about errors in postgraduate medical exams.

We now want to seek assurance that the Academy’s recommendations are being embedded and driving improvements, and that the integrity of the exams we approve is preserved through robust quality management processes, which is a requirement of our standards, Excellence by design. To support this, we are recruiting a multidisciplinary expert advisory panel (the Exam Quality Panel) whose role will be to provide advice to the GMC on the maintenance of our standards via a quality assurance exercise.
