EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST

Summary You will serve as an Equipment Specialist in the Inspection/Certification Division, Public Works Department Crane of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC. Responsibilities You will conduct on-site safety, maintenance and Code compliance evaluations of boilers, water heaters, and unfired pressure vessels (UPV). You will certify existing equipment for continued use and recommend new installations for acceptance by the government. You will conduct on-site investigations to determine the condition of equipment, cause of inefficient operation, failure, malfunction, or accident. You will review all plant operating logs, prior inspection reports, repair documentation, feedwater tests and treatment logs to evaluate the condition of the equipment and plan efficiency.
